Wife's birthday outing

Hi All,
Wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of an outing in Bristol area this Saturday that could keep the kids (boy 9 & girl 7) amused whilst also being a bit fun for my wife's birthday? Was thinking of a bike ride with a picnic but not too sure of the weather this Saturday. Tia

There's a large food festival at Caldicot Castle. There will be demonstrations, talks, tastings and lots of food and drink to try.
The Royal Bath and West show is on as well.

Further info about the food festival: "The Children’s Quarter will have hands on cookery classes to promote healthy food choices and also food related art topics."
"Guide Dogs Cymru will be inviting visitors to the Children’s Zone to put on a blindfold and try their hand at buttering bread, making jam sandwiches and preparing juice drinks." Sounds like fun to me! monmouthshirefoodfestival.co.uk
