My daughter is going to be 11 in June and I've run out of party ideas have done various sports ones, bowling etc... Makeover parties sound good but are very expensive any other ideas? Thanks.

Disco?

High School Musical?

How many children?

(Only have a 5yr old DS though - suppose Star Wars wouldn't work???)

My dd was 11 in March, we had the party at home with all the girls in her classroom so there were 12 year olds there too. They played Singstar on the ps2 for a while, then ate, then they played typical party games like Musical Opposites, Bumps, Hot Potato etc. After that it was time for the Ice the Bun competittion which they had requested again after last years party! I had already made the buns and diff colour icing, and supplied them with sprinkles and the like.

Actually, I was surprised they were still so pleased with a fairly typical children's party. Normally, they would go to the cinema, or the latest thing is to be brought with a few friends shopping in town. Anyway, they all loved it.

We went to a great art party. There was one large canvas which all the party guests contributed to (this had a jungle theme) and then each guest painted there own smaller canvas in their own design.
This was for a younger boy but I think it would work better for an older girl. When the large canvas is complete your daughter would have a lovely personal keepsake. Perhaps the theme could be "hearts and stars".
