My son will be five at the end of June. I haven't sorted anything out yet. Our flat is too small to host a party, so I need to find a venue and entertainer or similar. Panicking now - am I going to be too late?! Does anyone have any recommendations for anything locally? He's into superheroes in particular. Last year we went to a soft play area which was fab but we'd like to do something different this year. Thanks!

picnic and organised games in the park?

The reptile house - is beside the butterfly house in Syon Park - don't think it's called that, but dd has been to a party there and was pretty cool (so she reported)

The hall in Murray Park in Whitton can be hired if you want a hall.

I was going to suggest soft play:

Isleworth Recreation Centre or a pool party

Heathrow Gym

Whitton School in Percy Road have a good inflatables thing.

St Stephen's CrossWay hall and the hall out the back of The Crown pub in St Margarets (v handy for the parents!) can both be hired at reasonable rates.

Pool party at Brentford. I think Isleworth/Pools in the Park also do them.

Another vote for picnic and games at a park (the enclosed area at marble hill is great for this type fo thing). You could make it a superheroes themed party (BTW great fancy dress shop on Heath Road in Twickenham does those massive-muscled superhero costumes in GROWN UP sizes!! Could DP be talked into it??).

Another vote also for the room at the Crown.

Riding party at Stag Lodge in Richmond Park (but this could be v costly depending on no. of kids).

I think Heathrow Gym is one of the best party venues around for this age but not so good if you don't want soft play.

Oooh, I love parties! Good luck!

Bushy Park is great for selfcatered parties - set up some blankets near the sandpits and have some ballgames etc etc. Can work really nicely if weather cooperates!
