So ds is one in early may. I’ve arranged for him and I to go to ‘in the night garden live’ as a treat just the two of us. He’ll love that. There’s about £100 left in his ‘budget’ . I’d like to do something for family as they will all want to buy him a gift and he’s food crazy so a buffet will go down very well. Obvious answer would be a tea party at mine but there’s not much room for entertaining, I seated 8 adults for my dd’s 16th but it was a squeeze. This time there will be 3/4 toddlers and I’m worried it’ll be a bit nightmarish. I want to do the food myself because it’s cheaper and I’m very good at it, but ideally it would be better to have more space. Actually renting a hall will no doubt cost a fortune? It’s too early in the year to risk a garden party isn’t it? What have other people done?
