DD is turning 10 very soon.

She's asked for Barbies and a colouring book.

I want to get her something a bit special to celebrate the double-digits.

Any ideas for a gift no more that £80.

If she likes Barbie stuff what about a playhouse?

This one is great and has the advantage of folding up so it doesn’t take up lots of space:

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01K7JC9CK/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ref=plSrch&keywords=barbie+house+set&dpPl=1&dpID=51FKjiV-l3L&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1519178667&sr=8-3

Does she have a Ken or any of the Barbies friends dolls?

What else does she like? Crafts? Sports? Reading?

tellybear · 21/02/2018 17:15

She got handed down the Barbie house!

Not into craft at all.

Likes reading. Drama. Dance.

What are the Polaroid cameras like these days?

What about a new dance bag/leotard/ warm up gear etc (do her school have branded goods?)

Theatre tickets?

Don’t know about Polaroid’s, my D.C. have a waterproof digital camera which has been pretty useful and well used.

Is she into baking at all? My DD is 10 and had a food mixer for Christmas.

tellybear · 22/02/2018 09:04

Absolutely no craft or cooking 😣
Which is a shame as I love both passionately.

Going to look at theater tickets. She quite easy joyed the play gone wrong when it was in at Christmas, I wonder if that's on anywhere.

My DN of same age loves this m.johnlewis.com/furreal-friends-makers-proto-max-interactive-pup/p3307023 She's also just got her first watch and she feels very grown up wearing it!
Lots of theatres do backstage tours. I've been on a couple in London (National Theatre and the Royal Opera House). They were both brilliant; we got to see the scenery being painted, rehearsals, costume department etc... We got a special deal when we did the Royal Opera House one with afternoon tea aswell.

If she has an iPod or iPad or similar, how about a wireless speaker so she can listen to music (or as my 10 year old DD would say - have dance parties Grin) in her room
