Invitation Etiquette Question..!

This might be a ridiculous thing to ask, but here we go. DS will be turning 4. We're having a party in a hall for him so numbers don't really matter. We'll invite the whole class and some friends BUT he has mentioned a few children that we don't really know well and that aren't in his class - a couple of neighbours that he sometimes plays with, a couple of children that go to the school attached to his nursery (reception age kids) that he chats to in the mornings, you get the idea! Would it be a bit weird to invite whoever he likes? I'm happy to explain that he's just very friendly when handing over the invite but I wouldn't want to make random parents uncomfortable!

I would invite - his party so his friends. Nice to spread the friendship wider than just school class. make sure the 'unknown 'parents have a really easy way to get in touch to reply.
