How much do you spend on birthday presents?

Just out of curiosity, if your child is invited to a birthday party, how much would you spend on a present for the birthday boy or girl? I've generally spent about £10 but my daughter (nearly 4) has already been invited to 6 parties this year so the cost of presents is quickly adding up. I realise everyone's budgets will be different and will probably depend on how close a friend the birthday child is, but what's the average?!

I do about a tenner. Give or take a pound or so.

Generally £10-15 but I try to stock up during the Smiggle sales and buy ahead if I see any bargains.

Between £5-£10 for classmates generally, perhaps slightly more than £10 for a good friend. Maybe more as they get older as they tend to get invited to less class parties, just their friends. I also like to grab things in the sales or websites such as the book people can be really good.

When ds was in reception it was about £6 as he was invited to so many, hes now yr4 and goes to about 3/4 a year max so i now spend about £10/15.
