Do you send thank you notes?

DD's party was a week and a half ago. I have finally found some time to sit down and write the thank you noters, but the list of who gave her what has vanished.

So, I guess there's nothing I can do about it. I can't write them, unless I don't mention the present, which would be a bit weak. No, I don't think I'll do that. So, just wondering how much of an ass I am for not sending proper thank you notes.

To be honest, we've been to about 4 birthday parties in the last couple of months and had only one thank you note.

I bought the bloody thank you notes and everything. And now I can't send them...

Send the notes, say thanks for lovely gift, people will understand pressies get muddled.

Did you take any photos? Get some prints and enclose one with the child on it, they won't notice about the pressie

Actually, I don't even have a list of who actually came, so could very well send a thank you note to someone wh wasn't there if I write them anyway.

There are no pictures. DH forgot the camera. Besides I would never have time to organise printing them.

There were about 27 kids.

Well, COV, at least you know yours wasn't lost in the post. Oh, I am sooo mad I can't even put it into words. I never have the time to do the things I need to do. My home life is such a mess. I mean that literally, papper work and all kinds of stuff. This is probably how the damn list got lost.

I'm sick and tired of it. I just want to send DH and the kids away for a week. They can leave me in peace and for once I can tend to MY life.

Are you ok Ele? You sound a bit down. I know what you mean, we were like that when I was working, never enough hours in the day type thing.

feel for you. i have that sht fk bll**cks feeling so often. I got the main stuff a bit under control using the Flylady system - she sends emails with general tips on getting the whole house into order using small steps and not putting pressure on yourself. even a slackarse like me got better at the whole sorting the house thing/admin/housework/taking some time for yourself. would recommend it if you can take the cosy Americanisms of it with a pinch of salt. good luck

What is the flylady system? I can definately put up with cosy Americanisms (as I am American).
