How many layers for pass the parcel?

In the past I have always done one per child + 1 spare but they are always much less children (usually about 10)

This time there will be between 20-30 kids aged 5-6

Surely 30 layers is too much? So how many should I do?

2 circles, 2 parcels, 4 people helping with it.

Or don't do it... (hate pass the parcel)

How about 2 parcels and send them round at the same time, or have two circles (either side by side or one circle within the other) - means it lasts less time too as a parcel game with 30 takes a while and the children can get restless.

It's what we do when playing pass the parcel at school.

Two parcels going around at the same time

6-8 layers

Not everyone gets to open it, but hey that's life - on to the next party game!

2 parcels is a great idea! how many layers in each?

Or don't do it... (hate pass the parcel)

I wish!

Unfortunately it's not my kid's party and I have to do as I'm told

I would do multiple parcels too. No more than 10 layers per parcel.

I did 3 parcels of 10 layers for 30 kids, but I knew not all the kids would play so I'd have a few spare layers.
