Today's birthday party for dd2 has

been cancelled. She is 5 and had 12 guests coming. She threw up (a little bit) this morning. "Excitement" I thought and kept getting organised. And then she was ill bigtime and I thought "oops, she's poorly".
So I've rung all the people who put contact numbers on their reply slips (like I asked them to) and am waiting for the three who didn't. For some reason, no-one else has their numbers either.
dd2 is being hugely sensible about it all - it is me who wants to cry!

Oh you poor thing and poor dd! I hope she is OK soon. I'd be gutted too, but if she is being sensible about it, she obviously really doesn't feel well! Can you re-schedule for next weekend.

thank you! One of the mums I rang said that there has been a bug going around but it doesn't last very long, so I'm hoping dd1 will feel better soon.
We have a large lilac fairy castle birthday cake, made by dd1 - not sure how long it will take us to eat it all between 4 of us!
