A card. That's her lot.
It's all I can do to force myself to buy her a card.

Beauregard · 09/03/2007 20:18

I havent got a clue what to get my mom, money is tight but i would love to give her something really special.

compo · 09/03/2007 20:24

I am one of four siblings and I'm the only one who lives away. i only ever used to get a card until i realised I was the only one who didn't get her a present
I felt so bad. My brother always gets her flowers so that's out. And living away means i need something postable. I'm sure she'd love a book voucher but that seems a bit crappy iyswim

Well, I hope you don't all mind me saying, but I run a jewellery website selling fairly traded handmande costume jewellery and also sterling silver and semi-precious jewellery. Prices start from £9.99

I offer a gift wrapping service where your gifts are sent straight to the door of a loved one with a personal message attached.

website address is www.funkijunkjewellery.co.uk

I currently stock over 1800 items of sterling silver and semi-precious jewellery, so if there's anything in particular you're looking for, I'm sure I've got it, and can send pics!

If you let me know you're a MNetter, you get 15% off too.

Only trouble is, now my Mum has access to all the jewellery she can lay her hands on.....what do I get her for mothers day?!?!

TrinityRhino · 09/03/2007 20:37

WHEN IS IT????

funkimummy · 09/03/2007 20:39

Trinity - Sunday 18th > Just realised have to buy for MIL as well. GULP. I need to get me down to the nearest florist!

princesscc · 09/03/2007 20:46

Pelvicfloornomore ~ why don't you get the kids to make her some flowers out of pipecleans & tissue papper? Put them in an empty bean can cover with paper. My dd did that for nannie a few years back and she loved it.

Beauregard · 10/03/2007 11:43

Good idea thanks Princesscc
DD1 has made her a jewellery box from a set she had for christmas and im off to the garden centre gift shop this afternoon, hopefully in search of a 'cheapish' but stunning gift
Yes i know im deluded.

Sorry funkimummy

WideWebWitch · 11/03/2007 09:08

I've arranged flowers for next Sunday.

McDreamy · 11/03/2007 09:09

Magazine subscription is a fab idea

Blandmum · 11/03/2007 09:10

A card and some flowers . Nothing else make any sense, since she is now so demented she doesn't know me, or even know that she is a mother

pinkchampagne · 11/03/2007 09:11

A card & some flowers probably - the usual!

Greensleeves · 11/03/2007 09:15

When is it?

pinkchampagne · 11/03/2007 09:25

Next Sunday I think!

paulaplumpbottom · 11/03/2007 09:26

My mom won't celebrate mother's day until May but DH's mum is getting front row seats to see Elton John

TheBlonde · 11/03/2007 09:28

A card
Will hassle my bro to deal with the flowers

Hulababy · 11/03/2007 09:49

We gave out Mother's Daty gifts yesterday as we are unable to see them next weekend. Got both mums similar gifts: perfume, Lush massage bar, and a bath melt from elsewhere. Oh, and a card to open next week.

suejonez · 11/03/2007 10:10

predictably - a card a photoframe and some photos of DS. Thats what its all about isn;t it?
