My son will be 5 in just over 3 weeks (😱 not ready for him to grow up!).

We are having a party after school at a soft play place near us. It's 5:30-7:30. We recently went to one and I gave them a light tea beforehand because I didn't know what food they would serve. Which is lucky as they did sandwiches that my children didn't like.

Now, we will be doing a buffet snack style tea. What kind of foods would you expect to be there? The oldest guest would be 10, but she is my sister so it's not so bad! I don't have to worry about her as I know what she will eat!

I've been to similar parties and the parents have ordered in pizza and provided buns, treats etc and then finished with a cake.

I usually do a few platters of sambos and then treats. It can be hard to bring hot food to play centres as it's generally cold by the time you want to serve it, hence ordering in is popular.

Best of luck with it.
