There will be some crafty stuff going on which I have already arranged but I need some more games please. So far have: Musical bumps, musical statues, Pin the horn on the unicorn, pass the parcel, flippety fish. Any others please. Having party at home so need games that dont need too much room.

Sleeping lions
pictionary type thing? - 2 teams, you have a list of objects for them to draw, 1 member of each team to you, you give them the object they go back to group, as they get the answer they come back to y ou, give the answer and you give the next object - is a race to get to the end of your list. works best if you can have each team in separate rooms, and you in the hall in between.

What brilliant ideas, thankyou. essbee, I like the flour idea. paulaplumpbottom, I was a bit worried about a room full of stick wielding children although have considered it. PandaG the pictionary idea is excellent. cat, can you ellaborate on wink detective please? I know that you always need more games than you think so I intend to be prepared!

I went to a party where they had a disney quiz , this was for three year olds, and they loved it. I couldn't believe it the kids knew most of the answers. I think a quiz sounds like a great idea. you could divide them up boy girl or something similar.

nikkie · 07/01/2007 18:10

Oh I used to love wink murder , how did I forget it !

paulaplumpbottom · 07/01/2007 20:10

There is also red light green light.

Boleyn · 07/01/2007 20:38

Paula - what is red light green light?

paulaplumpbottom · 07/01/2007 20:55

They all stand at some sort of starting line. When you say green light they start to move in slow motion using legs and arms twords the finish line. When you say red light they have to freeze. If you move you are out. Then you say green light and it starts again. You win if you make it to the finishing line without being called out.

batters, that is a wonderful idea. I need something like that to use up the time. They are all girls. Did you do in with a quiz master and they called out the answers or did they write it down? I will definately do this in some way or other. Fantasic!

At dd party on Friday we did musical bumps , pass the parcel , the chocolate game ( put on hat , scarf , gloves and cut choc bar from the fridge when you roll 6 on dice) , bingo , memory game ten items on tray look then cover and write down what can remember , decorating buns and corners game.

treadonthecracks · 15/01/2012 22:00

Sounds like a great party Lilyloo! I love the sound of the chocolate game.

Islands is a good game, it's a bit like musical chairs but you use sheets of newspaper on the floor, every time the music stops you remove a piece of paper. Everyone must reach an island, you can have as many people on the island as will fit but eventually the children to islands ratio tips and anyone who falls in the sea is out!
