What did you do for your 2 year olds birthday??
Have a couple of months to think about it. Ds doesnt really know any children - so it would be mainly adults.
any ideas? thanks

We kept in really low key and small so as not to overwhelm DD. lthough DD is confident and a sociable toddler I just felt that too big a party might be too much and she would get over excited.

So, we invited 3 friends (aged 2.5, nearly 3, and 5) to soft play nearby. We met there and I paid before they arrived ready. They spent an hour there playing. We then went back to our apartmentfor another hour or so for food, drink and more play. At home other people there included both sets of grandparents, my sister and her boyf, and my brother. So in all, including us there were 4 children and 10 adults.

We kept all the presents back until after most of the guests had gone, and DD then opened them quietly with us.

It was a lovely day in all. This was day before her birthday. On her actual birthday Dh had the day off work and we took DD to the zoo which she thought was fantastic.

We had a lovely party for DS2 at my parents who have a big garden. It was in August so the weather was gorgeous, we had a paddling pool in the garden. Guests were us, my parents, neighbour with 8 and 6 year old, friend with 1 and a half year old, friend with 6 month and 3 and a half year old. It worked really well having different ages of children as they all interacted and the fact that there were few young ones meant we all could have a glass of wine.

We had a cake from sainsburys that DS1 choose, food for adults and kids and lots of suntan lotion.

Enjoy, ours was great and DS1 really felt special.

These are lovely. My ds loves soft play - so that is a good idea. Also his birthday is August - so the weather is nice for anything outdoor.
Any other suggestions?
