oh, how shit is the pass the parcel i just made.

I got a kit thing () and just made it up and thought, oh how crap. There were 4 different types of tpys but I took one type out as they were those horrid blower horn things and I couldn't cope with them.

So there are loads of different layers and 3 different types of prize. So each kid will probably get the same thing 3 times!

Then I went to make up the 2nd pass the parcel and same bloody toys! Can't do that can I.

it's not easy this party lark!

On the plus side it's lovely to bask in someone else's crapness every now and then

TEEstheCEEsontobejolly · 07/12/2006 21:05

cheers!

Why on earth did you need a kit though?

Surely a main proze, a few stocking filler type prizes for the layers and a load of newspaper and wrapping paper?

And it doesn't matter if all the layer prizes are the same because the snealy person who does the music looks, amd makes sure everyone has one go at the unwrapping.

Another year or so and it'll be me making shit party games

TEEstheCEEsontobejolly · 08/12/2006 07:23

oh i bought the kit becasue i was feeling decadent and it was easy and nice and lazy and saved me going back out to buy the paper and more gifts. I was ordering a load of stuff anyway and , and, and, and.......... i know it was mad

Anyway, gonne have to go out again now as can't do 2 pass the parcels with the same bloody 3 gifts in all over again!

I just posted on another threadbut I saw ready wrapped parcels today!!!!!!!!!!

paulaplumpbottom · 08/12/2006 21:10

Where did you see them?

TwinklingTinselAndTenaLady · 08/12/2006 21:13

most p the p's ive seen have contained mini sweets between the layers, so toys are great whatever they are. Remember you want to please the kids not the parents.

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 08/12/2006 22:02

In a small toy shop in the Lakes but they were obviously manufactured rather than homemade IYSWIM!

TEEstheCEEsontobejolly · 09/12/2006 21:12

That's what I thought I was buying a ready wrapped jobby! Don't want to give out sweets. Never given them to my DD so... they'll each have a little chocolate gift in their party bag but no sweets. It's quiet toys (no whistles!) and medals only as prizes.

How come everybody has to be a winner in pass the parcel these days?? Its ridiculous! U've gotta keep tabs on who's got a prize already. Toughen up modern kids!

ShinyHarryPplHoldingPortkeys · 12/07/2007 23:44

Arrgh.. can't cope with the jump from midwinter to mid summer..!!

[shiny's brain explodes]

Tortington · 12/07/2007 23:46

i seriously cant make shit. i cant cook fr toffee, wilst everyone laughs at my buying pancake mix you would think i feel affiliation with this "kit"

but no.

a kit?

disgraceful

ShinyHarryPplHoldingPortkeys · 12/07/2007 23:49

They are expensive.

If if you have to "do stuff" to them, what's the point in not making up your own?

ShinyHarryPplHoldingPortkeys · 12/07/2007 23:50

(I'm sure you can make shit Custy... I mean sometimes.. surely...!! )

Tortington · 13/07/2007 00:02
