Party Bag Ideas

Hi, so our ds is coming up 3 and we have arranged a party at a local soft play place. We need to do our own party bags though.

So far I have bought party boxes with stickers saying thank you for coming to my party.

Pack of mini colouring books with crayons.
Dinosaur tattoos
Animal stickers
Small pots of bubbles
Dinosaur gliders

then they would get a pack of sweets and slice of cake. The soft play place is supplying balloons.

Anything else I should add? Did think about a pack of cheap snap cards or flash cards you can get from 99p shop or some small books.

Also not sure about what sweets to include, marshmallows? freddo? white chocolate mice, milky bars, packs of oreos.. don't want to include lollies or jellys as not sure everyone has those at 3yo, my son doesn't yet but maybe i'm out of tune.

I think that sounds like a very generous party bag! You don't need to add snap cards.
If I was to put something sweet in, reckon I'd go for a Freddo.

As the parent of a veggie child I would suggest that choc buttons or coins are a better bet than sweets.

The best thing DH ever came up with for party bags was rolls of bandage, 20p each from sainsbo's, hours of bandaging fun!

Very generous party bag, no need to add anything else.

They sound great and for that age I wouldn't add anything else apart from sweets and cake as you say - maybe an uninflated balloon? Unless you are handing out balloons from the party anyway.

When DD was that age, people often put boxes of raisins in the party bags instead of sweets, or sometimes those mini bags of Goodies biscuits? Sort of treat-like but unlikely to cause any problems like jellies etc might.

By the time 4 arrived, anything like that would have been instantly chucked - 3 is such a lovely age

A roll of bandage??
