Crazy Golf Party for 7 Year Old?!

Looking for advice. My daughter wants a crazy golf party for her 7th birthday. Now, she's never played crazy golf and neither have I. No idea where this has come from but she is adamant that is what she wants.

So would an 18 hole round hold the interest of a group of 7 year olds? There is no party room but they said we can have a section of the seating area and bring our own food. It's also a 40 min drive from where most of her friends live. Should we provide transport or is it ok to let them make their own way?

It's either going to be great fun or really dull. Anyone else had a crazy golf party?

Sounds very unique to me and the kids would love it, I would say 9 holes is plenty though especially if there are quite a few of them as they will get bored waiting

If possible I would provide transport as 80 minutes of driving to take a child to a party (and that's if they stick around the area!) Is more than most parents would bother with, especially if they have other children

Only other concern would be the weather, what would you do if it was raining?

I'd stick to 9 holes. My DC (nearly 7, nearly 4) love crazy golf, but 9 holes is enough. Having said that, 40 mins drive away is a long way for a party (we're rural, we drive a long way for a lot of stuff, but i wouldn't be impressed with a 40 min drive for a party, ehetebi'd have to hang around for a couple of hours, possibly with the other child).

Thanks everyone. The crazy golf is indoors and is in a complex with an odeon, indoor ski slope, soft play and restaurants etc. It's also right next door to a big shopping centre so some of the mums might use it as an excuse for some me time. In saying that I think I might put on the invite to get in touch if they require transport. I can take three, my husband's company car can take three and my mum could take four.

The options are one round of 18 or two rounds. Think I might just go for one which is cheaper! It can take between 30-40 mins to complete apparently.

If you can take the children I think that might be better for the parents.

I have a feeling I might know where you are going! (Is it in a town beginning with C near a city beginning with L?). I have waited fur ds at a party there with ds (then 3) and we cruised the shops and went to the playground. Was fine.

If it's where I think it might be, then 1 round is plenty. And it's great fun, we love that course!

Haha. No, not where you think it is. I'm Scotland but I think there are a number of these places across the country. Now trying to rein myself in from taking them to frankie and benny's after. Sandwiches are enough repeat

Ah yes, there's one in the big Scottish city that starts with G!

Definitely not going crazy golfing with 18 kids. I think it would be great fun for a smaller group but the thought of having to negotiate the girls into groups and who was in which group and i'd never be able to keep an eye on all. There was no food provision either so we would have had to go to a restaurant and then have to keep them amused while waiting for the food.

So decoded to go to a local country estate place that has a play barn which is not really like any other softplay around l. It's got a good climbing wall and cool slides and small enough for us to hire out for ourselves and then the neighbouring cafe hold in the old laundry will put on a buffet for us. All that for £8.50 a head. The plus side is the estate has a pony centre and dd wanted to go for a po y trek as a treat and I said to her she can do that after if she wants so she is super excited.

Phew! Now I can stop thinking about it every waking moment. I was really stressing out!
