Ok, boring as bat shit BUT ...
DS's birthday party 4.30 - 6.30pm on Sunday (crap time but was the only available time) at local swimming pool ...
DH away ...
Have baked cake - it is in the freezer.
Very simple to decorate really (DS thankfully opted for a rugby field - no brainer to do ).
I have, in the past, decorated his cake (much more complicated ones) the night before ...
So, should I take it out of the freezer tonight (Friday) and decorate it Saturday night ... then leave it all day Sunday till the party?
OR
Take it out of the freezer Saturday night and decorate it on Sunday morning? (bearing in mind I will have DS wanting to help and DD wanting a go too and I am NOT good in the kitchen with the children and DH not here to take them off my hands.)
Rest of the party pretty much sorted ... don't do party bags (hate 'em) but have done a lucky dip for all kids to take something home at the end.
Food is hotdogs (done on BBQ by kind friend), crisps, popcorn, fruit. The party is basically 25 kids in a swimming pool for an hour and a half, then eat, then cake, then home ...
So, if I am organised I can decorate the cake on Sunday morning really ...
If it is done Saturday night it will be out on a warm NZ spring night and all day ...
I hate boring dilemmas like this ... but can't get my act together to make a decision.
Help
(Oi, you at the back - stop snoring! )
