Yes, i did one for dd1's 7th birthday in May and it was a MASSIVE success, she has asked for it again next year.

my dd had a Bear Factory one for her 6th birthday. I think it was good and worth the money but we did have an exceptionally good party leader.

DD loves build a bear ! She went to another type of bear party at a friend's house - that went down very well too !! Am desp trying to think of name of bear company - will come back in a mo !

Hi Radley, thanks for that. If you don't mind my asking did your invitees get a bear and outfits? Just trying to guage what I would need to go for.

My dd came home from the be my bear party with a lovely bear in a duffle coat and T-shirt - they made the bears the played with them and had a teddy bears tea party - she adored it ! The mum said it worked out cheaper than build-a-bear and you can do it yourself too !

MrsWobble · 22/11/2006 12:57

at our party the girls got a bear and an outfit - I was asked to give the party leader an amount per child that they could spend and she was brilliant at guiding their choices so my budget was not at risk and no-one was told they couldn't have something because it was too expensive. I was really impressed by the way she did it.

thanks, Mrs.wobble. That was one of the things that I was a bit worried about. Perhaps if I were to go into the store I could see what a potential party leader might be like.

How weird - after posting this at work I came home to find dd playing with her be-my-bear bear and I haven't seen him for months and months !!

He is lovely - he's in a t-shirt and sheepskin jacket I now see rather than a duffle coat !
