take dh to party??

dd1 (3) has been invited to a wacky warehouse party by a friend at pre school. I don't know the parents or anyone else who will be going. It's on a Sunday afternoon and am not really looking forward to spending two hours there by myself. Would I look really sad if I took along dh? We've also got a one year old who loves wacky warehouse. If dh comes then she'll have to come as well (obviously pay for her).

I dont get why it would be sad to bring along dh? Then again I dont know what a wacky warehouse party is!

If a party's at the weekend then most people seem to come as families IME.

well that's the plan! i've never been to one of these where i didn't know the hosts and wasnt sure if it was the done thing to come as a family! With dd1 starting school next year i guess i'll soon get the hang of things

My dh and older ds usually go to parties with dd and I if it's on a Saturday. No-one seems to mind and there's plenty of other couples there usually. Can't see why anyone would want to volunteer to go to Wacky Warehouse though!!

also, how much do you spend on a prezzie for a school friend? I was thinking about a tenner, is that about right?

Won't it be a good opportunity for you to meet some of the other parents - either by yourself or with Dh there?

I started by spending a tenner but have reduced that to around £6.00 as that's what most of the other parents seem to spend.
