Pizza party ideas

DS has asked for a pizza party for his 6th birthday. I couldn't face doing another party at home or going all the way into town for pizza express, so I've asked my local Italian restaurant to host. They've suggested some mocktails at the bar to start, followed by topping their own pizzas at the bar next to the pizza oven, which I think sounds great. I'm thinking of buying each of the 5 boys a little apron to wear and then keep. There are a couple of climbing frames in the garden to run around on if the weather is okay, but I thought I'd take colouring in case it is raining.

I've previously done all parties from scratch and spent ages sourcing and sorting invites, decor, games, party bags etc and now I'm not sure what to do. How much should I decorate the table? Do I need to do party bags as well as the aprons? Any ideas for a simple pizza themed invite?

What else have I forgotten?

I would've thought paper chefs' hats might be cheap, and appreciated,if you can source them.

Personally, I don't think I would decorate the table, but you could maybe tie balloons to the chair backs.

For the invite - picture of a pizza with info on the back.

No, I wouldn't decorate the table but like the idea of a balloon on each chair - that plus an apron would be a brilliant take home, no need for a party bag

You could write the boys names on the paper hats too - helpful for the restaurant to be able to say "careful James!" and "have you got enough Thomas?"

Great ideas - I'm googling the hats now!
