Please help. I have a 6 year old girl who, according to her teacher at school, is a normal young girl who gets on well with all the children in her class but doesn' get invited to any of the children's parties. She is distraught when she sees the invitations being handed out to the other children but she doesn't receive one. She is starting to ask me what is wrong with her and although I am trying to stay positive, I am starting to get worried and upset. Can anyone advise

Has she got a friend or a small group who she plays with? Is she quite shy? maybe she is quiet so the other children only pick the lively ones? Maybe a word with the teacher might throw some light on the situation.

Poor little mite. When children are young it is often the case that the mum of the birthday child will invite children whose mums she is friendly with. Has she had a party of her own? She might get return invites after that. Or you could arrange playdates with the children she is closest to and she might get invites from them. I must say that girls can be ber cliquey at this age and this is a problem in alot of schools.
