Kids' Party Bags

So I'm having a party for my five year old daughter, and I thought, as sweets are unhealthy and bad for little children's teeth, I could include some interesting and cheap gifts.
I plan to include: a deflated balloon, 3 ikea pencils, an elastic band, 2 pennies, a drinking straw, one page of "The Beano" and, of course, a traditional Jacob's cream cracker.
This is quite urgent as the party is in two days, and I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone ):
Thanks for reading this and helping me out!!!

What? 1 page of the beano and a cracker? 2 pennies?

Just don't do any.

Pico2 · 13/04/2015 21:59

You are joking, aren't you?

Bicnod · 13/04/2015 22:00

Please be joking. When it comes to party bags sweets and tat are very important to 5 year olds.

Eh?

Only1scoop · 13/04/2015 22:02

Pop a Biscuit in aswell

AmandaTanen · 13/04/2015 22:02

Sorry, my kids don't expect a party bag but would question some of the items you have suggested, a dry cracker? Just give the kids a bit of the cake, or a balloon.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 13/04/2015 22:03

Pencils and balloon good. Pennies rubbish, what's the point if they can't buy anything? Cream crackers Confused and a page from the beano is a bit weird. Just buy some little wrapped biscuits, they don't need to have haribo.

Only1scoop · 13/04/2015 22:04

Are some of you actually taking this seriously Grin

love the addition of the cream cracker to your story OP

RumAppleGinger · 13/04/2015 22:07

What age are the children? Not sure when putting cream crackers in a party bag became a tradition. Never experienced it in my lifetime. Balloon -fine, pencils - fine, straw (as long as it's a curly plastic reusable one) - fine. The rest is a bit bizarre in my opinion.

WalterWall · 13/04/2015 22:07

Dammit! Grin

Anyway, these days I just give each child a pound of sugar and a spoon.
organic of course.

Pico2 · 13/04/2015 22:11

Have you stolen a job lot of the little pencils they have to write down your wish list at IKEA? Are the elastic bands the red ones dropped by the postman?

It sounds like the crud at the bottom of a handbag.

Graceymac · 13/04/2015 22:19

If that's the party bag god only knows what will happen at the partyGrin
