Christmas party for 2 girls 6 and 9

My daughters have started making noises about a Christmas party, but I'm not doing it unless I can think of some good ideas. I thought they could both have a few friends, but it would mean mixed ages (years 2 and 5). Any ideas - doesn't have to be too Christmassy - there'll be decorations and Xmas food anyway. I was thinking maybe charades? Stuff like that?

Will it be at your house? You could have disco dancing competition. Making Christmas decorations and cards. Pin the Nose on Rudolph. Charades would be good for the older ones but probably abit lost with the younger ones.

You could decorate fairy cakes in Christmassy colours?

Making cards is a fab idea - all little girls seem to like that!

Salt dough tree decorations?

Fircone bird feeders?

Hunt for santa's eleves - little pics hidden all over the house that they exchange for a prize. You could put them into pairs - an older girl with a younger girl, so that the big ones don't just rush and find them all first.
