Ive been struggling to decide what to do for dd1's 5th birthday as we are on a budget and i wanted to invite as many of her reception class friends as possible as i was worried about them feeling left out. Also i didn't know whether to pay an entertainer or do it myself but couldn't afford or find something different and couldn't be arsed to organise a big party,if that makes sense?
So dd is now having,at home, what im calling a pink poodle pyjama party!
She can invite 4/5 of her friends and they have to come in pj's ,they will each be given a pink poodle pack(i found out about on line) and will each be able to make their own cuddly poodle. This will be followed by party food ,pass the parcel (with proper prizes),pin the tail on the poodle etc. Each of them will have a cuddly poodle to take home so no need for party bags just birthday cake and a balloon.
The packs will equate to around ?60 but is still cheaper than the cost of an entertainer and the hire of a hall etc.
Also because the numbers are so small i dont feel as bad about not inviting everyone.
Does this sound ok?
