What food would you lay on for a family of four coming to visit on Sunday? Has to be easy cause I've got 2 little ones and I'm not a great cook!

a roast - can't go wrong, just prep the veg beforehand, and bung meat in oven for an hour and a half.

How about a nice big casserole, served with crusty bread? Can make in advance and then leave in the oven on a low heat for ages, until ready to eat.

any more ideas - I was thinking chicken fajitas but not sure what I could do with it

Fajitas would be good, with a bowl of grated cheese, bowl of salad, red peppers, soured cream etc so everybody can pick what they want.

Or a big lasagne, salad and garlic bread.

Baked potatoes with a range of toppings such as cheese, tuna, coleslaw, a bowl of chilli?

Homemade Pizzas (buy the bases)with a range of toppings, salad, garlic bread?

Icecream with bashed maltesers for pud for the kids and eton mess for adults. All easy, can mostly be prepared in advance and enough choice for fussy eaters to find something to eat!

i would do the fajitas with potato wedges, or maybe a vegetable rice.
