Anyone had one? What can i do to keep six 8yr old girls entertained for the evening, want to avoid too much "do what you like time"! Any ideas?

never had one but I would hazard a guess at:-

food - pizza making and soft drink cocktail making?
nail painting/makeup session
DVD

annie78...firstly make sure you have help! Give her party a theme i.e. ghosts, tv character (spongebobsquarepants). Get goodies ready for a midnight feast - tell your daughter where they are! Let them have pillow fights - not on the beds - and make her room ghostly (nr halloween) for ghost stories and lots of balloons in her room so they can spend ages popping them - away from you. Have games ready and let them watch a dvd and if possible turn all your clocks one hour forward so that they think they are going to bed later than they are! Have pancakes for breakfast with lots of fillings. have fun bookends
