Pasta in tomato sauce for kids party?

Is this odd? A lot of the kids coming don't like sandwiches or bread and tbh I really hate making loads of sandwiches. There's about 40 children and I was trying to think of something I could keep warm in my slow cooker or reheat quickly in the microwave.

Has anyone else served this or something similar at a children's party?

OK pasta isn't good. I was orginally thinking hot dogs, pizza, nuggets, fish fingers, french fries, salad sticks, strawberries, grapes and cake for pudding. Will revert to that plan!

Too much food and choice - you will have tons wasted! - hot dogs, quorn hot dogs, crisps, bowls fruit, cake.

I wanted to come back and say your food intolerant guests would be thrilled with food they can eat and not having separate food. Their parents will be so touched you have you have gone out of your way for them (they might cry!) Obviously I am in the minority but I think pasta is a great idea!

Do you think? This is what they serve at the soft play parties and there's never anything left over!

At soft play usually everyone chooses in advance from those types of meal, so there's very little waste. Offering everyone a choice on the day would probably create a lot of waste. I would stick to just pizza and hot dogs, maybe one hotdog and one or two slices of pizza each, served on a paper plate with crisps etc in bowls.

We'd think pasta a great idea too, both my DCs would be very happy with it but I think we are in the minority.

They just bring a tray out with all the different things on at our soft play and dish out what each child wants. Most children normally have a bit of everything.
