Nine year old party ideas

What did your dc want to do for their 9th birthday? Mine desperate to do laser tag but where we are it's £££££. He's v disappointed but I'd rather buy him a nice birthday present than spend all that cash. Would love some inspiration.

We did a spy party with spy training, wool 'laser' challenge, tricky treasure hunt with clues which had to be decoded. Went down v well.

We did a chocolate party. Highlight was the chocolate fountain. Also made chocolates and did various chocolate related games. Went down very well.
