Science Museum kits from Sainsburys or Amazon. The balloon helicopter is fab.

DS will be 6 next week. I just bought him a slap watch (Despicable me, Minions). £4 delivered off of Ebay. He likes Hama beads, too.

Morrisons have who's who game at £5 just now- much enjoyed by everyone in our house! Top trumps games fun too?

How about this wind up robot making kit My five year old ds loved it, and was a bit challenging, so might be just right for a six year old. About A5 sized so seems a decent size gift too, IYSWIM.

yy to Top Trumps. DS also got a set of practical jokes (fake poo etc!) from a classmate that he loved.

Plop Trumps... all about different animal poo (in terms of size, stink, frequency etc).

Thank you great ideas I have gone for top trumps but made a note of the other suggestions for future, my girls would love the balloon helicopter and robot.
