what do you all think of a vintage style party ( possibly suitable
for 4-8 yr olds)with pretty china and tableware, dressing up clothes, dolls houses and vintage party games, all available to hire and no washing up?

I just hosted a party for my dd who turned 3 & her friends aged between 3 to 6 years old so some of them were in your age bracket.

I organised 2 structured partu games (pass the parcel & pin the tail) which they enjoyed but they preferred free play instead.

I wouldn't bother with pretty china cups etc at that age as they don't sit still for long enough to appreciate it. Also, because of the safety issue due to breakages. Our guests were happy with their character plates & there was no washing up on my part.

If you wanted to do pretty vintage type parties, then an older age group 6-10 might work particularly as the listening skills are a bit more developed.

It would appeal to girls more especially the dolls houses but there is no reason why boys can't play with them either. The games & equipment need to be more unisex to appeal to a wider range of kids or atleast offer to adapt to the main gender of the group.
