We are hiring a hall this year but will not have an entertainer as our LO hasn't really taken to the ones we've been to recently and doesn't find them too entertaining at the moment. I'm also thinking a bouncy castle may be too chaotic with 20 kids.
So would love some alternative ideas for things to do as the hall is huge and don't want to have bored kids.
We're thinking of making cakes for the kids to decorate and also some shields and a friend of ours will make balloon swords too.

Are there any party games which would go with this?

Also has anyone made a cardboard fortress for kids to play in?

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Have a look on this thread for ideas. A bouncy castle wont be a bad thing as long as you have someone to monitor it. Make sure there are no more than x amount of kids as anyone time.

Traditional party games like pass the parcel, pin the tail on the donkey & musical statues are a hit. You coukd set up a craft table with stickers, jewels & crayons so kids can decorate a cut out crown or do some colouring in.
