Nut Allergy Help

My son's party is in a couple of weeks. He has invited all of his class. This is his first year at the school. At the beginning of the term, his teacher advised that there was a child in his class who suffers from a nut allergy.
The invite has asked the parents to let me know about allergies/intolerances- as yet nobody has come forward but in case someone does on the day of the party I would like to be prepared.

As a precaution, I would like to buy nut free sweets/ chocolates. I was thinking of Haribo and/or kinner ton lollies however I would appreciate it if any nut allergy mums could steer me in the right direction.

I would ask the mum of the child /children in question as needs vary ... And actually could make it simpler for you

Unfortunately, the school will not reveal the identity of the child so unless the mum comes forward I am in the dark.

Could you write a note to the parent and ask the teacher to give it to the child to pass on, include your phone no or if they don't want to be known write back and ask teacher to give to your child? If mine had any type of food allergy I'd want to speak to anyone feeding them.

You may find the mum will bring snacks for the child or will tell them not to eat anything. I would just make sure there are nut free alternatives available. Ds has a boy in his class who is allergic to nuts, dairy, eggs, etc so we got him his own snacks from the free from aisle in the supermarket plus we knew he could have haribo and ready salted crisps.
