My daughter will be one in two months and no clue what to do! I have read some very old posts where mums suggest not to do anything and keep the meeting small, in your own house. First problem, at the moment we are renting a flat and is minimal! So we have to go somewhere even just for a cup of tea! In our case the bday will be a way to meet people, kids and socialise. I have been trying to find places as i want to do my own food, that means i need a kitchen. People will just stand up having some warm food and i am thinking to hire soft play for little ones (i have 10) like this one www.nutnuts-softplay.co.uk/ (i will say some, not the bouncy castles or big ones) the problem as usual is the place..

Anyone know anywhere in Essex or Hertfordshire, a small place with a kitchen to hire? Confused with a place where people can stay and also kids playing around? Many thanks!

Hello! Have you got a kid friendly cafe with a playroom nearby? We hired one out for our DD's 1st birthday and we could provide food etc. We had about 24 kids and it was great if hard work!

Other places I've been to kids birthday parties at with this type of setup have been church halls, community centres or British legion clubs. Any local social clubs would prob let you hire out the space/kitchen as well.

Good luck!

Hi! the thing is that i do not like big halls, wanted something smaller.. but i found like a studio, they teach painting there so it also has lovely lights! has a bathroom and very small kitchen. I will provide soft play, decors and that is all :) many thanks!
