Hostess gift, something different .....

Got a few parties to attend over Xmas and I'm looking for something 'different' to take other than the usual wine/flowers/chocs. Anyone got any good ideas, budget up to £15?

I snaffled this idea from elsewhere
But a small glass vase with some floral scissors and some floral wire so she can arrange the other people will have brought always goes down well ime.

nice smelly candle? packet of posh coffee (either instant or Christmas-sy kind of ground if they have a coffee maker)?

or go for completely silly if they have a sense of humour and bring a package of Christmas loo roll or a completely kitschy little Christmas decoration. Grin

A box of crackers?

Some lovely coffee?

I've always fancied trying Nigella's trick from one her programmes. Make a batch of homemade cinder toffee. Put it in a pretty container for your host. Eat cinder toffee on way to party. Present empty container to host.

Posh coffee is a nice one, hadn't thought of that. Thanks all.
