Hi all,

We're having a rather large party for DD6 & DS1 in November.

I have brought some cellophane bags with the intention of making some sweetie bags.

Any advice how I can keep the cost of them down to about £1 or less? I have 40 bags to make!!

I've looked in the supermarkets but the sweeties have all seem to have been priced up in time for Halloween I guess! Any inspiration would be great fully received xx

£1 per bag is assume.

Lidl had huge 2kg bag of sweets for £5.99, that should sort all 40 bags.

Hi,

Yes, £1 or less per bag would be fab!

I'll pop to Lidl, thanks!

Poundland has sweets for.... Wait for it, a pound. They had 25 lollies, 25 packets of popping candy etc.

Marshmallows are cheap and bulky, so church a few loose in the bags,

Will you be having a birthday cake? You could buy/make a simple cake, slice ahead of the party, wrap in grease proof or foil and put in the party bags, means you just need a small decorated cake for the candles and a bit of cake to put in the bags??
