After a BBQ last year for DC's birthday which DP was useless at this year have decided to do food that can be prepared in advance.
The little ones are going to have food in paper boxes eg sandwich, crisps etc ready made.
Can anyone give me some ideas for the adults?
I want stuff people can just help themselves to and which can be prepared in advance so not too much stress on the day.

Thank you!

My go to for easy but yummy nibbles for adults is to buy some ready made pastry, the stuff that is ready rolled, and chuck some pesto, tomatoes, feta and other nice things on it, bung it in the oven for 20-25 mins and then cut in to squares. You could also grate cheese on to a sheet of pastry, cut in to fingers and bake, voila, cheese straws!
Olives and sun dried tomatoes in little pots. Nice crusty bread, crudites and dips.
Or just give them sarnies and crisps too, I'm sure they won't complain, you are feeding them after all.
Enjoy your DC's party.

How old is your DC? Are the adults your friends/family or parents of invited children? How old are the other children?

I say simple sarnies and crisps/nibbles and dips and then good biscuits and cakes. If I was coming, I'd just be grateful to be fed!

DC (mine) will be 3 & 4 and guests ranging from 2-7 in ages. All the parents are friends which is much less pressure Smile

In which case I'd say Mogz pastries sound great, paired with very simple bits of finger foods (crisps, salad bits, garlic bread). Hope it goes well!

Thanks! I might make a quiche as well (easy and tasty)

As long as I don't forget the wine it'll be sweet Grin Grin
