If not too pricey a 'thingie' each - the climbing loop metal thing that clicks name escapes me.....carabiner? Or bungee cords? Just thinking linked to the party & know ds1 would love those.

Cake... I sound a right meanie - but we don't do party bags - just a bit of cake to take home - maybe a lollipop too (left overs from prizes for silly party games that my preteens groan about but secretly love)

This is probably too late but DS went to his friend's climbing party and his mum did a metal drinking bottle (from Poundland) with a caribiner attached and also attached was a little drawstrig bag with some sweets in. DS was very pleased.
