Party bags - not what goes in them, but the bags themselves!

I don't want to buy those horrid plastic bags with spiderman/Ben10/Barbie nonsense on them.

Just want white (brown?) paper bags which roll/fold over at the top (used to put my packed lunch in them when I was a kid) sort of bags

Do they exist? Or is this the moon on a stick???

Have all the 'inards' for the bags, but not the bags yet...

Help please!

I always do paper bags rather than plastic ones. I was going to suggest Amazon if you don't do ebay but I see I've been beaten to it :)

Ooh stickers and felt tips, what a brilliant idea! I did cloth bags and pens one year so they could keep the bags but the little ones thought it would be fun to use the special permanent pens on their clothes...

Paper bags will be much safer I think. Love that idea, I bet amazon sell lots of cheap stickers too. Smile

Cloth bags go down well if you can be bothered. I see your sourcing is sorted now - I was going to suggest a cash & carry if you wanted to physically go to a shop.

Brown paper bags with handles - the type you get from an Indian takeaway. Then stencil a picture on each bag with a permanent marker. I did this for DS's party bags.

I got some great brown paper bags from Home Bargains at a fraction of the price of Hobbycraft then decorated them with Pokemon and gold/silver stars on card. I got the idea from sil who decorated hers more girly.

WOW! I had absolutely no idea MN had this topic until I was searching for party bag advice!
I was coming to ask the same question, and have ordered the first ones Ilovemydog linked to. I ordered from them about 2 weeks ago and my items turned up fine, so no problems there.
What to put in them though, is the main problem now. I thought about just filling them with pick and mix that I was going to order from A Quarter Of, but at least 4 of the DC coming to the party are veggie and can't eat a lot of the sweets.

I have bought these (from her own website not from Not on the High Street but she is on holiday at the moment!)

Or go to your local chinese or indian takeaway. They often use paper bags and might sell you a few.
