is it difficult to learn? my dd has a party at the end of the month and we'd like to have the kids done up - would also like to hear of a pro mumsnetter who may be willing to do it for 1 hr on Sunday 28th may (we're in Maidstone, Kent)- for a fee of course!

how many children will you have at the party?.....
i am quite an experienced face painter and i can do about 20 in an hour, i would have loved to help you out but am at the other end of the country...
have a look in your local library for
: Five Minute Faces and Fantastic Faces, these are my favourite books( Snazaroo Face Paints too)

Good luck...

Oh, there will be around 15 or so - shame you can't come! I will look in the library (never thought of that!) - looked at snazaroo face paints on ebay - is £8 for pack (incl. postage) too much?

IIRC - sharklet is a face painter, and even teaches it. Not sure if she's been posting recently though....
