Why don't you buy some cheap plain ones and decorate them yourself? Or wrap in pretty wrapping paper?

I don't know where you would get cheap plain ones from mind, so I really haven't been that much help!!

Why not try a shoe shop and see if they have a few empty boxes they don't need. Your children could then paint and decorate them and you'd have your own personalised one. Or it could be an the guests first task. AS they arrive, give them a box and some crayons to personalise their own box, with their names on; you just plonk the food in afterwards then.

I used plain white cake boxes sometimes - they come in 3 sizes I think and only cost a few pence each (from the cake shop!). Also they have flat tops so you can stack 'em for transportation if necessary. The kids had a wonderful time decorating them and did specific decorations for specific friends.

Or you could do as Hulababy suggests and let them decorate their own - they come flat so easy enough to colour.

My mum did this for me (way way way back!) and used cake boxes.

Is there a local party shop to you? I found mine in a local one at just 32p each (no postage!)

Party Pieces have a big variety of themed or plain. I think they're online now.
