Christening Gown

I'm just organising my son's christening for the end of May and am drawing a blank on an outfit for him. I'd always dreamt of an antique lace gown - we've been trying 8 years so I've had plenty of time to dream - but he'll be 8 months' old and I don't think he'll appreciate it too much!
Does anyone out there know any good shops or websites that have outfits for boys. I'm not too keen on the traditional sailor suit, or shirt trousers and tie. Something simple and cute without being frou-frou or too grown up.
Please help!

mine both just had smart outfits from M&S - not christening-y at all. I didn't want to go down the "dress" road at all..... Wink

Like you I waited a long time for my DD. I brought a gown from this webshop, \link{http://www.christening-gowns.com/index.html?1FaNQtiXw9pjXBDFEFAX2MqNyMbNL7CeevpuyBnY6z/A5DykGTwBF52w0o+6Jm6awyG5Yaej90oVZX3rrvtMR4qlIZiKyE8hzrHmBmNnKF1B1kcTWeF2g5pTi6KWkfV0\gowns. The gown I brought, was of excellent quality and so beautiful and my sister will be using for her DD, and hopefully mine can use it for her later on in life.

Mine you debenhams also do some fab outfits for boys and girls at excellent prices.

Enjoy your christening

hope the link works Grin

Thanks madrose - excellent website. There are a couple of possibilities. It sounds like you were pleased with the gown you purchased - was the company easy to deal with?

Thanks Tommy too. Any excuse to go to M&S so I'll check them out too.
