Christening Alternative?

Would like to celebrate having baby with family but don't want a christening. Family would all love one as they're all catholic! Naming day seems so crappy - we know lots of people we don't like who've had v tacky naming days. Baby warming party?! All suggestions welcome x

We just threw ds1 a massive 1st party and will do the same for ds2.
