I am looking for someone to do dd's 6th birthday party - I saw jellykelly on annh's old thread - she does look good - did you use her annh? or anyone else? is she good? and was she expensive? many thanks

I've seen Jelly Kelly - she did my son's party and then one of his friends insisted that she came to his party as well. She's also appeared at his school. She's a really nice lady, and has amazing energy, (last time I saw her, she managed to perform brilliantly through a rotten cold, which she made into part of her act) she keeps the kids' attention really well, and gets as many involved as possible - kids really like her.

I can't actually comment on cost, like other entertainers, she varies her prices depending on number of kids/venue/which services she offers. HTH

Eek, amazed I made it into a thread title - fame at last!!! Funnily enough, ds2's birthday party is tomorrow and because Jelly Kelly was booked we are now using someone called Jolly Dolly (what is it with all these ryhming names?) who lives somewhere around Shepperton. She has apparently done shows at the ds's school in the past so if tomorrow night is not too late, I'll let you know then how it went - assuming ds2 does not wake up with the raging fever he has gone to bed with! I do know she is about £30 cheaper than Jelly Kelly.

Well, it's over and we survived! Party went really well, all the kids were lovely, we don't have too large a mountain of food left over and Jolly Dolly was wonderful! She arrived and set up with the minimum of fuss, as soon as we had about 4 kids she started to entertain them, did a disco to get them started, then some magic, introduced Rocky the Raccoon, did a bit of balloon modelling and then we stoped for tea. She kept entertaining the kids while tea was on and afterwards took them off again for more fun and games and finished off with another bop! She was very down to earth and thoroughly lovely and in control, would definitely recommend. Her number is 01932 222432. Off to soak my aching feet and soothe the fevered brow of ds2 who got through the party on adrenalin but has once again retired to his sick bed!
