Its DS's 7th birthday party next weekend and I've gone way OTT with the invites! Now starting to panic that we won't be able to seat them all for tea and wondering whether a sit on the floor buffet would work or if I need to try and hire more space at the venue (there is a smaller hall that I could possibly hire as well). I've got an entertainer and the cake/party bags are sorted so its just the food/seating arrangements that I'm worried about now. Would it be chaos having them all get their own food and sitting on the floor? Could we sit them on the floor then hand out the food? Or should I ring the church tomorrow and see if I can hire (at more expense) the other hall as well and set the food out in there. The parish office is only open 2 hours a week so I've got to wait till tomorrow to ring them and get more info. Any party veterans about able to give some advice? I've always done small parties at home before - thought this would be easier but as always haven't thought it through properly.
