I am turning a career corner in my life, and have had an idea which I hope might work. But I need your help. The idea is to provide parties in a box. Customized to the parents' needs and requirements, a hamper containing a healthy, locally produced but still yummy meal for any given number, a selection of games, cake and party bags, and decorations would be delivered to the door on the morning of the party. The contents could be as limited or as full as the parent chose - ie just the meal, or meal and games, or meal and games and bags....etc etc...and there would be a further option of entertainment - facepaint, clown, or magician. The price would of course depend on the contents, but the basic meal, games and bags for example for 10 kids would be around £70. The idea is that the busy working parent would be able to order the party online for delivery, but would be able to orchestrate the party themselves. It would take away the fuss of organising and producing, but not the joy of providing the special day. The box would then be retrieved at the end of the day, removing all mess and rubbish.
I hope it's an idea with legs, but I need your help to find out if there is interest in such a service out there. If you can spare some time to answer a few questions, I'd be very grateful:
How much would you normally spend on a party for children aged 1-9 with and without entertainer?
Do you find organising the party hard to fit into your working week?
Would you use this sort of service if it had full options of veggie, vegan, gluten free, and themed parties?
What, if any, parts of this service would you be most likely to use: 1) meal, 2) games, 3) party bags, 4) decorations, 5) music, 6) entertainment?
