Hi,
We've decided to do a joint party for our dc, mainly to avoid asking family and friends to travel to us twice in less than a month.
Ds is (currently) obsessed with dinosaurs and Dinosaur Train in particular and keeps telling me wants a dinosaur party and cake. I'm more than happy with this and have lots of ideas but don't want it be just about him even though dd has no idea what's going on....

I had thought of doing a double theme like pirates and princesses or a jungle theme to suit both but Ds is adamant he wants dinosaurs!
And yes, I realise it's ridiculous and there are far more important things to worry about but I want this to be a lovely day (and dd to have lovely photos of her first like Ds has!)
Sorry, that got a bit long but any suggestions? A double theme or should I just tag on a separate cake at the end for dd for photos and stop stressing?!

You could just make sure there are some pink dinosaur themed items as well, I know its a bit cliche but it will just allow it to have a girly theme too, like make hers more barney or land before time. As your son has more of an idea of what he wants I wouldnt want to disappoint him by creating a new theme, but I understand the need to make it their day. Have you thought of games? A sand pit would be a really good one, and bury Dinosaur bones for the kids to discover.

Or let her have a princess party and dual decorate the room, I loved throwing a princess party for my little girl and she really loved all the activities i put on... which I got from www.babycelebrations.co.uk/page.html?id=55 some of the games could be tailored to dinosaurs as well.
