I have been asked to do a reading but they don't know what they want and have asked me to choose, they are not religious. Any ideas?

We got a little booklet of suggested readings from our local council when planning our wedding. Some of the ones we liked best included:

Andrea Hill - Love Is...
Wilfred Arlan Peterson - A Good Marriage is Created
Anon - Love is Giving, Not Taking
William Shakespeare - Let Me Not To The Marriage of True Minds
Philip Sidney - My True Love Hath My Heart, and I Have His

They had some other odd suggestions too. The one that really sticks in my mind was The Owl and The Pussycat by Edward Lear Confused
How the council could possibly think that appropriate for part of a civil wedding ceremony was completely beyond me.
