Etiquette of attending a joint birthday party where you only know one of the birthday children?

I assume you would only need to buy a present for the child that you know but is that breaching the etiquette for these circumstances? Would you take a card for the other child?

I also take a smaller gift for the other one too. I don't think it's essential though - a card would probably be ok.

Ok, thank you Smile

ceebee - I posted the same question a week or so ago. I did as suggested and took a small present for the other child. Everyone seemed to be doing the same.

Thalia thanks for the insight into what others do - I hate etiquette stuff as I always seem to get it wrong Grin
