We had Jem's Fairies for 5 yo.
Usual games/disco bit of magic but she and assistant were dressed up and had a bit of fairy story to tell about everything. It went very well and the girls (and boys - the "wizards") who were there had a great time.

Didn't bother did own entertainment.

If it helps, we hired a pixie land / fairy bouncy castle, I bought loads of organza bags and filled with fairy sweets and did a hunt around the gardens, sprinkled glitter in various places. This went down well.
